Daily/Weekly School Schedule

The school will maximize educational efficiency and effectiveness without infringing upon or devaluing the importance of family time.  We will also thoughtfully regulate the amount of homework given on a consistent basis. Below is the weekly schedule for students:

Monday through Thursday, students will attend regular academic days from 8:30a.m. to 2:30p.m.

Fridays, called Enrichment Fridays, students will attend school for shorter days, generally from 8:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. Enrichment Fridays will provide a variety of planned activities along with intentional, individualized student assistance as needed. On occasion, students may not be required to attend school on Fridays when conferences and teacher development activities are planned. Those dates will be communicated well in advance for your planning purposes.

Frequently Asked Questions

What curriculum will Legacy Christian School use?

The administrative team has adopted a majority of the curriculum that will be used for the upcoming school year. You can find the updated list under the “Academics” tab.

What is the dress code?

Students will not be required to wear uniforms at Legacy Christian School. Our general guidelines will reflect the overriding principles of modesty, school-appropriateness, cleanliness, moderation and safety. A specific dress code will be made available prior to the start of school for students and parents to review.

Do you have a policy related to technology/cell phone use?

Personal electronic devices (i.e. cell phones, iPads, tablets, etc.) may be brought to school at the parents’ request. However, they are expected to be kept in the student’s backpack and not taken out for use unless in the presence of a school staff member. Additional information will be provided at the start of the school year.

What is your plan for school security?

The safety and security of our students is of the utmost  importance. We are actively researching the most effective and appropriate methods of campus security which include video monitoring, fencing along Dairy Road, and the use of volunteers to patrol the campus premises during school hours.

Are their lunch options available on campus?

Currently, no lunch service is provided and all students are to bring their lunch from home. However, we are open to parental input in establishing lunch program options.

Can parents/guardians volunteer?

While parents are not required to volunteer, we value their involvement. There will be a number of opportunities to become involved and we will communicate specific areas where assistance is needed.

Do you offer transportation?

Legacy Christian School does not have bus service available.  All transportation to and from school is the responsibility of parents.  Carpooling with other parents is recommended and encouraged.
