Ken has spent the past 5 years serving as the Children’s Ministry Pastor at Crossroads Church and acts as the liaison between the school and the church. Prior to his ministry work, Ken taught in Christian education at the elementary and middle school levels for 26 years before serving as vice principal for 12 years also at the K-8 level. He is passionate about pointing kids to Christ and encouraging growth in their faith.
Greg has 11 years of teaching experience and worked 14 years in school administration, primarily as school principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He recently moved from Oregon to principal Legacy Christian School and is excited God has called him back into Christian education.
Christina has spent most of her 12-year educational career working as a public school counselor with middle and high school students. She spent 2 years also serving as a college counselor and as college adjunct professor teaching career and life skills. Christina is thrilled to be working in a Christian school environment where Christ can be at the center of every conversation.
Kristen is continuing at Legacy as our Kindergarten teacher and possesses 10 years of teaching experience primarily with preschool-aged children. She earned a Bachelor’s in Bible and Theology and Liberal Studies from William Jessup University and also possesses an Early Childhood Associate Teachers Certificate. Her goal as an educator is to provide a warm, caring environment and to keep Jesus as the center of everything.
1st grade teacher
Jennifer is continuing at Legacy as our 1st grade teacher after teaching our 3rd/4th grade classroom last year. Jen comes to us with experience teaching preschoolers in the Bay Area for four years prior to joining Legacy. In addition, her student teaching experience had her working with 5th graders in Southern California all the way to Kindergartners in New Zealand. She graduated from Biola with a Liberal Studies degree in Elementary Education, a minor in Biblical Studies, as well as her California teaching credential. Jen is excited to provide a safe and loving environment where kids can feel free to learn and grow in their academics and more importantly in their relationships with Jesus Christ.
2nd/3rd grade teacher
Christin is joining Legacy this year as our 2nd/3rd grade teacher after spending last semester working as a substitute teacher for multiple schools in Southern California. Christin is a recent Biola University graduate where she earned her degree and completed their teacher certification program. The bulk of her experience has been with the primary grades which is where her heart truly lies. She was raised attending Crossroads Church and is very excited about returning “home” and joining our Legacy team!
4th/5th grade teacher
Lynn is joining Legacy as our 4th/5th grade teacher and comes with 24 years of teaching experience from a variety of educational settings. She received her degree from the College of Charleston, double-majoring in English and Secondary Education. Lynn began teaching as a credentialed public high school teacher in South Carolina prior to moving to California. Since then, her experiences as an educator have included homeschooling, teaching and administering in a behavioral school, and teaching and serving as vice principal in private Christian schools. Lynn is passionate about leading children into the reality of a daily, intimate walk with Jesus and, thereby, helping open their minds to the joy of discovering the universe which He has created for them to explore.
Margaret is joining Legacy as a part-time learning specialist and will be working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and also assisting our teachers in the classroom. She comes to us with years of experience and a wealth of expertise in numerous areas of education. Margaret started her career as a classroom teacher and holds both her teaching credential and special education credential. Over the years, Margaret became a reading specialist but also works at identifying and assisting students with a wide range of academic challenges. Margaret is most passionate about helping students identify and implement the best learning tools for their individual needs and then watching them advance as their love for learning becomes ignited in a whole new way.
