Greg has 11 years of teaching experience and worked 14 years in school administration, primarily as school principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He recently moved from Oregon to principal Legacy Christian School and is excited God has called him back into Christian education.

Christina has spent most of her 12-year educational career working as a public school counselor with middle and high school students. She spent 2 years also serving as a college counselor and as college adjunct professor teaching career and life skills. Christina is thrilled to be working in a Christian school environment where Christ can be at the center of every conversation.
Ken Kessenich

Ken has spent the past 5 years serving as the Children’s Ministry Pastor at Crossroads Church and acts as the liaison between the school and the church. Prior to his ministry work, Ken taught in Christian education at the elementary and middle school levels for 26 years before serving as vice principal for 12 years also at the K-8 level. He is passionate about pointing kids to Christ and encouraging growth in their faith.
Kristen Medley

Kristen is continuing at Legacy as our Kindergarten teacher and also possesses 10 years of teaching experience primarily with preschool-aged children. She earned a Bachelor’s in Bible and Theology and Liberal Studies from William Jessup University and also possesses an Early Childhood Associate Teachers Certificate. Her goal as an educator is to provide a warm, caring environment and to keep Jesus as the center of everything.
Lea Mackay

Lea is excited to be returning to Legacy as our 1st grade teacher! She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and spent five years homeschooling her two oldest children. Lea loves getting kids excited about learning and bringing creativity to the classroom. Her goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and encouraging classroom environment that reflects God’s great love for us!

Danielle is joining Legacy after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development from Cal State Channel Islands and two years of teaching preschool. Danielle grew up in this area so she feels like moving back to the area and working at Legacy is a homecoming for her! She is excited to bring her creativity into 2nd grade and to openly share the truths of the Bible and the love of Jesus Christ into her classroom at Legacy Christian School.

Alex is officially joining our teaching staff after having been a substitute teacher for us for the past few years as well as one of our long-term teachers for middle school last year. She has also previously homeschooled her own children for years as well as taught in their co-op program. Alex is excited to bring her creativity into our third grade classroom and is passionate about helping youth see and accept the value God places on each of their lives and that He created them to be the unique individuals they are.

Deborah is excited to join our Legacy staff and return back to the classroom after having homeschooled her children for many years. She and her family recently moved to the foothills from the Bay Area. Deborah has taught elementary and middle school grades and also has years of experience teaching and oversee special education classrooms. She is eager to shepherd our 4th grade students in this new chapter of her teaching career. She loves the Lord and all His children and Her desire is to continually point her students back to God’s love for them!

Heather is returning to Legacy as our 5th grade teacher. After moving back to the area from Upstate New York, Heather came to us with over 16 years of experience teaching in private Christian Schools, as well as homeschooling. Heather has a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and her California Teaching Credential from Chapman University. Heather is passionate about teaching children, encouraging them in their walk with the Lord and in helping children to discover God’s special plan for their lives.

Bill is joining our Legacy staff with a multitude of experience! After spending years working as a graphic designer, he felt led to go back to school to pursue becoming an educator. Bill recently completed his Master’s of Education degree from William Jessup and is eager to jump in and help shepherd our middle school students! He is excited to share how the study of History, specifically, points to the truth of God’s word. His greatest desire is to show his students that Jesus is everything they do.

Kristin is returning to Legacy this year and is thrilled to teach the subjects she is most passionate about: Science and Math! She recently moved back to Auburn after spending 5 years on the mission field in Honduras, with her family, where she was the co-director of a school. She graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree and Teaching Credential from William Jessup University and has taught for many years. Kristin is coming to us with a rich educational background, a passion for sharing the Gospel message, and helping kids cultivate their personal relationship and walk with Jesus.

Meredith is returning to Legacy this year to teach our 7th grade science. She has years of experience teaching children in middle school elective subjects as well as in various ages of Sunday school. Meredith is excited to bring her creativity back into the classroom setting and loves to watch her students as their learning comes alive!
