Ken has spent the past 5 years serving as the Children’s Ministry Pastor at Crossroads Church and acts as the liaison between the school and the church. Prior to his ministry work, Ken taught in Christian education at the elementary and middle school levels for 26 years before serving as vice principle for 12 years also at the K-8 level. He is passionate about pointing kids to Christ and encouraging growth in their faith.
Greg has 11 years of teaching experience and worked 14 years in school administration, primarily as school principal at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He recently moved from Oregon to principal Legacy Christian School and is excited God has called him back into Christian education.
Christina has spent most of her 12-year educational career working as a public school counselor with middle and high school students. She spent 2 years also serving as a college counselor and as college adjunct professor teaching career and life skills. Christina is thrilled to be working in a Christian school environment where Christ can be at the center of every conversation.
Kristen is joining Legacy as our Kindergarten teacher and possesses 10 years of teaching experience primarily with preschool-aged children. She earned a Bachelor’s in Bible and Theology and Liberal Studies from William Jessup University and also possesses an Early Childhood Associate Teachers Certificate. Her goal as an educator is to provide a warm, caring environment and to keep Jesus as the center of everything.
1st/2nd grade teacher
Debbie is joining Legacy as our 1st/2nd grade teacher and comes with 20 years of teaching experience. Primary grade teaching is her first love though she spent the past 7 years teaching special education at the high school level. She holds her Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies along with her California teaching credential. Debbie also maintains her special education credential as well as reading specialist certificate. Her desire is to foster an early and life-long love of reading in her students.
3rd/4th grade teacher
Jennifer is joining Legacy as our 3rd/4th grade teacher and comes to us with experience teaching preschoolers in the Bay Area for the past four years. In addition, her student teaching experience had her working with 5th graders in Southern California all the way to Kindergartners in New Zealand. She graduated from Biola with a Liberal Studies degree in Elementary Education, a minor in Biblical Studies, as well as her California teaching credential. Jennifer is excited to provide a safe and loving environment where kids can feel free to learn and grow in their academics and more importantly in their relationships with Jesus Christ.
Margaret is joining Legacy as a part-time learning specialist and will be working with students one-on-one, in small groups, and also assisting our teachers in the classroom. She comes to us with years of experience and a wealth of expertise in numerous areas of education. Margaret started her career as a classroom teacher and holds both her teaching credential and special education credential. Over the years, Margaret became a reading specialist but also works at identifying and assisting students with a wide range of academic challenges. Margaret is most passionate about helping students identify and implement the best learning tools for their individual needs and then watching them advance as their love for learning becomes ignited in a whole new way.
